Bus Topology
This bus topology uses a single cable to connect to many (multiple) computer. In this network system for connecting between the computer and use the T-Connector cable. Why T-Connector because of its shape like the letter T. In this topology are many uses coaxial cable.
Other components are often used in this topology is the terminator. To overcome the loss of the signal sent by the workstations on the network, the terminator should be installed at the ends of the cable.
In this topology is only one computer can transmit data. On a bus topology all of the computers to find data traffic on the network but the computer only accepts packets addressed to the computer that's it.
One advantage of bus topology is cost. Bus topology uses less wiring than the star and mesh topology. Another advantage is the easy installation, with this topology it is easy to connect the computer segment and backbone cable.
The main drawback of this topology is very difficult for troubleshooting. In the event of troble for example in the cable segment, the network will feel the impact, or the network will fall. Another drawback is that if the dense traffic network will be slow. For that we need at the planned scale of the use worksation in this topology.
